Job Summary:
The Inventory Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory control activities to ensure stock accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with standard procedures. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational efficiency, minimizing inventory discrepancies, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Audits & Compliance:
• Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc internal audits of inventory-related activities including goods receiving, stock returns, inter-store transfers, stock take processes, and stock adjustments. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Stock Room Management:
• Coordinate with team members to maintain an organized and systematic stock room environment. Ensure proper segregation, storage, and labelling of returned, exchanged, and defective items.
Inventory Monitoring & Accuracy:
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of stock for business needs while minimizing excess. Verify the accuracy of inventory records and perform regular reconciliations to address variances.
Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare detailed inventory reports and analytics for management review. Analyse audit findings and discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Process Improvement & SOP Compliance:
• Support the review, development, and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control. Propose and assist in implementing enhancements to streamline operations and reduce inventory shrinkage.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
• Work closely with operations, logistics, and retail teams to address stock-related issues, facilitate smooth inter-departmental stock transfers, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Stock Take Coordination:
• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing periodic stock takes, ensuring all inventory counts are completed accurately and within the required timeframe.
Logistics Coordination:
• Prepare and monitor delivery schedules in coordination with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate stock transfers to outlets and warehouses.
Operational Support:
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support daily business operations and ensure the efficiency of inventory handling processes.
Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
• Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of standard inventory procedures, audit practices, and stock reconciliation processes.
• Experience in a retail or multi-location operational environment is an added advantage.
